Nasce dall'incontro di due professionisti con esperienze internazionali, Fausto Ferrara ed Enrico Fulfaro ed è formata da un gruppo multidisciplinare di professionisti che realizzano progetti residenziali, culturali, aziendali a livello internazionale. I progetti nascono dalla penna dei suoi fondatori, ma vengono elaborati da un attento lavoro di squadra dall'inizio di ogni incarico, approfondendo i concetti e le idee iniziali, che per noi sono l'anima del progetto, compresa la struttura e l'interior design. Per ogni progetto, prepariamo almeno 3 diverse proposte progettuali, tutte rispondenti alla lista dei desideri dei clienti, alla trama e a tutti i regolamenti. Per noi è una sfida concettuale che ci spinge a migliorare e ci spinge ad andare sempre un po' oltre per uscire dalla nostra zona di comfort. Con i nostri clienti, stabiliamo da subito una base di fiducia sapendo che le loro scelte diventeranno parte del processo di progettazione, cerchiamo sempre di trasporre attraverso la progettazione i desideri dei nostri clienti e il nostro compito e aiutarli a realizzare i loro desideri. Per quanto riguarda la scala dei progetti, lavoriamo dal masterplan, gruppi di edifici o residenze, trasformazioni dell’esistente o opere di ristrutturazione edilizia attraverso la demolizione e la ricostruzione di un nuovo e più efficiente organismo architettonico, fino a progetti su piccola scala, curando ogni minimo dettaglio. Nei progetti di sviluppo, ci occupiamo di brand branding, corporate design, graphic design, web, immagini e/o video promozionali, tutti i disegni in BIM sino alla gestione per la fase di costruzione, cercando di coprire tutto con la stessa prospettiva per generare così un progetto completo. Ogni progetto è importante quanto gli altri e valutiamo ognuno come se fosse il primo, l'ultimo e l'unico, trattato come una vera e propria “opera d’arte”. I progetti dello studio sono diffusi in tutto il mondo, evidenziando luoghi come Cina, Stati Uniti, Cile, Germania, Spagna e Italia, e sono stati pubblicati su riviste internazionali di architettura e interior design. Tra questi, GA Houses, Domus, Casabella, Architectural Digest, Ville&Casali, Detail, The Plan, Elle Decor, Interni, Europaconcorsi portal, Architizer, World-Architect e in case editrici come Taschen. Inoltre, il lavoro dello studio è stato raccolto in diverse monografie curate da Palombi Editori. Il saggista e professore universitario Franco Purini sul testo “Opposizioni” all’interno del Catalogo della 13th Mostra Internazionale di Architettura “la Biennale di Venezia”, scrive: “L’architettura di Arckeo + FFA Ferrara Fulfaro Architecture nasce dalla ragione ma produce emozione. Essa è arte del costruire e del comunicare almeno quanto lo è dello spazio e della luce. Fortemente stratificata in livelli diversi di senso, al di là della sua apparente chiarezza, essa dice qualcosa di importante dell’essere umano, qualcosa di misterioso che vale la pena ascoltare”. Lo studio si avvale della collaborazione nei suoi progetti dello studio di Piero Castiglioni per l’illuminotecnica, come di aziende specializzate nel campo delle costruzioni come la Capoferri leader mondiale per gli infissi e serramenti su misura. Allo stesso modo, ha collaborato con studi internazionali, come il noto architetto Portoghese Eduardo Souto de Moura o come Joao Ferreira Nunes considerato uno dei più illustri paesaggisti a livello internazionale. VALORI STUDIO L'architettura può essere piccola nel grande o grande nel piccolo, se ogni commissione è intesa come occasione per concretizzare un’opera d’arte. L'approccio progettuale nasce da un duplice impegno: la volontà di dare una risposta tecnica a un contesto specifico e il desiderio di ricercare la bellezza effettiva attraverso l'opera costruita. Questo processo persegue la soddisfazione, intesa nel suo senso più completo, di tutti coloro che partecipano attivamente allo sviluppo. Soprattutto i clienti e fruitori dell’opera stessa, ma anche i collaboratori, i costruttori e i progettisti. Nella traiettoria professionale vengono raccolti tipi di costruzione molto diversi. Ci sono lavori di un nuovo impianto, restauri, ristrutturazioni con demolizione e ricostruzione, alloggi in blocco ed edilizia pubblica. Un'altra caratteristica del processo è la continuità. La continuità con un ambiente che dobbiamo rispettare, la continuità spaziale, l'uso di pochi materiali, l'integrazione delle strutture, l'illuminazione... Questi sono fattori comuni nel lavoro svolto. E anche la ricerca della continuità nel tempo, valorizzando l'architettura capace di attraversarlo senza diventare obsoleta. L'uso dell'innovazione è enfatizzato. I Nuovi materiali e le nuove tecnologie vengo utilizzati per migliorare la vita delle persone. Un'innovazione basata sull'esperienza e sul miglioramento della tradizione. La precisione e l’ordine sono alla base del nostro sistema di lavoro. Esse richiedono un'attività concentrata e attenta durante tutto l'intero processo, che va dall'idea iniziale, passa attraverso la stesura del progetto, sino alla sua realizzazione. Il processo della costruzione viene da noi seguito sino alle fasi dell’arredamento personalizzato, al prodotto di design sino alla manutenzione dell’opera; per questo abbiamo scelto di lavorare in BIM e di sfruttare al massimo gli strumenti che la digitalizzazione del progetto ci offre. Il dialogo è sempre presente, poiché l'opera diventa parte dell'identità di chi la abita. La casa e lo spazio di lavoro sono un vero riflesso di chi ci vive o lavora, un'espressione inequivocabile della sua personalità o della sua cultura aziendale. Questo dialogo cerca conforto e utilità, esaminando i conflitti e le gioie degli atti quotidiani della vita umana, che definiscono l'architettura. La risposta data a questi concetti caratterizza i progetti rendendoli ognuno diverso, ognuno unico, trattato come una vera e propria “opera d’arte”. E infine, la squadra. L'eccellenza nel design si basa sull'integrazione di una rete di professionisti che condividono il piacere del proprio lavoro. Un team composto da specialisti nel calcolo delle strutture, degli aspetti energetici e di sostenibilità, dell'acustica, degli allestimenti, della progettazione grafica, dell'interior design, dell'architettura. Operiamo in uno spazio condiviso che evoca la storia del passato; Palazzo Lunese che ci ospita è un edificio progettato da Bernardo Rossellino nel 1452, questo luogo produce di per sé un'atmosfera di creatività condivisa capace di generare una motivazione contagiosa, attenta a ciò che è in atto ed entusiasta di ciò che sta per venire. Inoltre siamo il primo studio internazionale ad aver utilizzato il lavoro a distanza, avendo piena fiducia dei nostri collaboratori, tutti professionisti di primo livello; durante il Covid-19, Arckeo + FFA era già pronta al lavoro smart e ha potuto testare con grande soddisfazione che il suo modello non solo funziona ma è ormai diventato una consuetudine, ci sentiamo per questo orgogliosi di aver anticipato i tempi. Prof. Franco Purini Fausto Ferrara is an Italian architect, artist, designer and innovator. He studied architecture in Rome and assiduously frequented the circles of artists, Enrico Castellani, Achille Perilli, Teodosio Magnoni, Pino Barillà, Gianni Asdrubali, Carlo Bernardini, Paola D'Ercole and others. After an initial period of work on construction sites since 1980, having the fortune of having a father who was a construction craftsman, he decided to undertake a long personal experience of vision and bodily perception of architecture which would lead him to undertake long study trips to Europe, Asia and North America. Ferrara is recognized by international critics as a true architect and artist. Enrico Fulfaro is an Italian architect and interior designer. He graduated in Architecture in 1992 from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. He worked at the B&C architects studio from 1992 to 2002 as a designer of public buildings. From 1996 to 2006 he carried out research and teaching activities at the University of Rome La Sapienza for courses in Architectural Design, and in 2004 he was appointed "Subject Expert for Design III courses". Since 2006 he has been the author of architecture articles for "4amagazine" and "La Repubblica - Casa&Design" and currently for the magazine "Italia Informa". He has also participated in numerous television programs. After personal journeys, in 2010 they decided to join together and founded their design atelier in Rome and Viterbo, and subsequently in Chicago, which initially began as a true research laboratory between art and architecture. VILLA INFINITY' RESIDENZE MALIBU', CALIFORNIA, US The villa stands in a dominant position, close to the coast, towers over the sea, offering a breathtaking 360-degree view of the horizon; it allows you to observe to infinity above the waves of the sea. The client in his program had one request above all; that of being able to make sure that the villa was not noticeable from the entrance, if possible embedded in the ground. So we thought of fitting the villa under the entrance level of the entrance land, in this way the part that rises from the ground is only the tower where there is both the entrance and the study. A terrace, with a pool of water blends into the horizon, where the sea dominates the scene. The other request of the program was the need to host a large auditorium with over 150 seats for private shows complete with a large foyer for dinners and receptions. This request, unusual for a villa, was resolved by placing these functions in the basement at a height of - 7.20 meters. In this way we managed to obtain a theater / auditorium with a window overlooking the ocean and allowing natural light if needed for both rehearsals and some shows. On the - 3.60 m. floor is the actual villa, with an apartment of over 150 square meters for the owners complete with a mini kitchen and a private entrance adjacent to the helicopter landing pad. Four suites, complete with all comforts, including an outdoor space overlooking the sea, allows guests to stay in complete privacy. A large living room overlooks a swimming pool, infinite on the sea. Simplicity, inspired by the presence of an important villa, pushed us to want to reach the wonder and silence that is the only form of true beauty for us. A villa like a ship stands silently on the sea, sees the infinity of the waves and dominates the panorama with its view. This villa stands next to the famous villa designed by Tadao Ando. For us this means a great challenge, a challenge in trying to be as silent and pure as possible, in simple and contained forms, without excesses that could transform the enormous volume into noise and chaos. SPAGNA INTERIOR DESIGN ROMA This commission involved the renovation of a building which itself has several additions dating back to the 1960s. Located in the monumental historic center of Rome. The client's objective was to create a building that would serve as both a home and work spaces as well as spaces for relaxation. The design uses vertical axes to section the building into different types of spaces, including service areas, distribution areas, main zones and outdoor areas, establishing a specific spatial and functional sequence as owners move through the building . Furthermore, the horizontal sequence of floor levels differentiates areas for sleeping, living and working. These horizontal and vertical planes create a three-dimensional map of the house and its functions. At the center of the house is a large, full-height vertical void that serves as the primary circulation space, connecting the surrounding rooms in a flexible and dynamic way characteristic of contemporary living. This void is a point of spatial, visual and functional connection, where public and private spaces, day and night activities, internal and external flows meet and intersect. It also exposes the intimacy of domesticity, revealing the interior life of the home. Today, years later, we can say that the theme of the project was the precursor of a need that we had already intuited starting in 2004 and which today has become a need, that of ensuring that private living spaces merge with private spaces. of work, new and interesting projects have been born on this topic. We are trying our hand at demolition and reconstruction on Lake Garda in a wonderful location. A new high-end home with large volume and surface area. NEW PROJECT FOR ARCKEO + FFA FERRARA FULFARO ARCHITECTS Suspension and circularity, together with the fluidity of spaces are the basis of the project. A sculpture where two rings intersect and lean on each other and form different places, not only for functions but for light and energy. In the southern area you can enjoy the predominant view of the lake, a swimming pool limits the space between the anthropized living area and nature, here the first ring opens and the projecting one wants to close on itself, but ends in a projecting way creating a sense of Suspension. COLUMNAE INTERIOR DESIGN ROMA The interior design of this private home, located in the heart of the monumental center of Rome, was guided by a simple objective: to restore the existing shell, thus strengthening its monumental and historical identity, and superimposing a contemporary layer capable of supporting the residential architecture program and all the activities related to contemporary living. This new layer develops along the entire perimeter of the apartment supporting different functions all linked to the different spaces and programs; wardrobe, bookcase or simple shelving interact with the existing casing, changing shape but maintaining a unique identity and materiality. The idea is a sense of community, a spirit in which art connects with the place itself and the place becomes an isolated world, where exhibitions expose people to art and generate a union between people and place , a place of art. I try to reveal the emotions that the place evokes: architecture must produce bodily sensations, those that awaken the senses and make the union between art and nature possible. In this way art can merge with natural events and the forces that push the human being to rediscover the human being understood as a living essence between heaven and earth..." From the previous analysis, we can turn to our project as an element that unifies and reveals all natural forces, while also serving as a place of protection. It is a home where you can be and where you can observe the natural phenomena that occur around you. This choice led us to prefer a specific location for the "House": in a valley, a fissure, where a natural pond could easily be created to better notice the variability of the site and the dynamic change of the seasons with its sharp light and chiaroscuro contrasts. Our house, "The Art House", is a strictly scientific and technological museum space, but attentive and designed for the meeting between earth and sky, landscape and man, art and nature: it is an anthropology of the spirit. The spaces of the museum are deliberately labyrinthine and to be discovered like the surrounding landscape. Art reveals itself within these spaces as a cultural element of human expression. It creates an integral sense of community that forces us to unite what is external with a new and feasible coexistence. This novelty lies in its lack of danger and lack of effort. “…more than a museum, I think of a place where art, sky, earth and people can meet." VILLA S025 RESIDENZE KARGICAK, TURKEY A sense of calm and refinement. A garden frames a place, which becomes sacred through the simplicity of its forms. The villa seems nestled into the mountain; the land, a terrace overlooking the sea, opens up, allowing for a view of infinity. The villa opens to the south, where a pool and garden extend from the interior. Interior and exterior unite and are protected by a concrete blade that appears to rest on the rock, protecting the villa and framing its spaces. A villa nestled in the woods near Kargicak, Turkey.
