THE SUNFLOWER GRANDE SCALA MIAMI, USA The Sunflower was born from a competition with the aim of creating an iconic building with a predominantly residential destination. Our idea develops around the theme of dynamism that contrasts with the apparent monotony of the surroundings. For this reason we thought of different typologies that, composed within horizontal plates, alternate full and empty spaces, recesses and projections. A harmonious composition that provides maximum outdoor livability through large terraces that overlook two sides, each one overlooking the ocean or the city. The Sunflower is a building with a predominantly residential destination with offices and a shopping center and shops on the lower floors and residences equipped with all comforts as well as a Club House, an outdoor pool on the terrace and an indoor pool with spa. The top two floors house a panoramic restaurant with a bar as well as a terrace that allows a 360° view of the Miami panorama. THE PINBALL SUITE INTERIOR DESIGN VITERBO The Pinball Luxury Suite was born from our client's desire to create a high-level accommodation facility that recreates the typical atmosphere of a home with the comforts of a luxury hotel. The project was not limited only to interior design but was extended into the complete renovation of a historic building in the heart of the city of Viterbo. The building has been completely renovated from the foundations to the roof, seismic improvement interventions have been carried out; all the systems were built from scratch and each suite was made autonomous and smart through the most efficient home automation systems. The interiors of the suites have been designed as real independent apartments, all equipped with kitchens and all comforts, including saunas. All the furnishings were created by Lago Spa and in synergy with Artemide for the lighting project and enriched with exclusive wallpapers designed by the artist Claudia Scarsella. The Pinball project is one of a kind, today several other structures have been created along the same line of concept. We are trying our hand at demolition and reconstruction on Lake Garda in a wonderful location. A new high-end home with large volume and surface area. NEW PROJECT FOR ARCKEO + FFA FERRARA FULFARO ARCHITECTS Suspension and circularity, together with the fluidity of spaces are the basis of the project. A sculpture where two rings intersect and lean on each other and form different places, not only for functions but for light and energy. In the southern area you can enjoy the predominant view of the lake, a swimming pool limits the space between the anthropized living area and nature, here the first ring opens and the projecting one wants to close on itself, but ends in a projecting way creating a sense of Suspension. The living area and the sleeping area on the upper floor rest on a semi-recessed box in the ground which houses the area of services and accessories, such as the cinema room, a music room, the industrial kitchen and a showroom as well as a cellar and storage areas. the servants' apartment; a custom-made eight-space garage overlooks the breathtaking view of Lake Garda through a large window. A double-height lounge overlooks the swimming pool to the south, large circular sliding windows allow it to open completely and ensure that the outside communicates with the inside without discontinuity. CASA AUREA - M20 RESIDENZE COMO The project is generated within a golden rectangle, where the main square defines the garden to the east and the house, to the west there is a water fountain, designed as a mirror where the sky and the earth meet, animating the soul human. The house extends south towards the swimming pool. A small house of just 100 square meters which however contains various places within it in a labyrinthine wait. Nothing is ever defined a priori, but it needs to be explored, experienced, discovered. It is through movement that space comes to life and light is the master. Nature welcomed within it brings together the senses through perception, reorders the senses. The house was born from its owner's desire to create a small world isolated from the rest that surrounds it; this is why it is enclosed within the walls that surround it, defining it as an intimate place to carry out daily life, which is nothing other than living. Living also indicates a way of life, a habitus, which covers the desires and intimate motivations of those who live it. A house born as a temple. Nasce dall'incontro di due professionisti con esperienze internazionali, Fausto Ferrara ed Enrico Fulfaro ed è formata da un gruppo multidisciplinare di professionisti che realizzano progetti residenziali, culturali, aziendali a livello internazionale. I progetti nascono dalla penna dei suoi fondatori, ma vengono elaborati da un attento lavoro di squadra dall'inizio di ogni incarico, approfondendo i concetti e le idee iniziali, che per noi sono l'anima del progetto, compresa la struttura e l'interior design. Per ogni progetto, prepariamo almeno 3 diverse proposte progettuali, tutte rispondenti alla lista dei desideri dei clienti, alla trama e a tutti i regolamenti. Per noi è una sfida concettuale che ci spinge a migliorare e ci spinge ad andare sempre un po' oltre per uscire dalla nostra zona di comfort. Con i nostri clienti, stabiliamo da subito una base di fiducia sapendo che le loro scelte diventeranno parte del processo di progettazione, cerchiamo sempre di trasporre attraverso la progettazione i desideri dei nostri clienti e il nostro compito e aiutarli a realizzare i loro desideri. Per quanto riguarda la scala dei progetti, lavoriamo dal masterplan, gruppi di edifici o residenze, trasformazioni dell’esistente o opere di ristrutturazione edilizia attraverso la demolizione e la ricostruzione di un nuovo e più efficiente organismo architettonico, fino a progetti su piccola scala, curando ogni minimo dettaglio. Nei progetti di sviluppo, ci occupiamo di brand branding, corporate design, graphic design, web, immagini e/o video promozionali, tutti i disegni in BIM sino alla gestione per la fase di costruzione, cercando di coprire tutto con la stessa prospettiva per generare così un progetto completo. Ogni progetto è importante quanto gli altri e valutiamo ognuno come se fosse il primo, l'ultimo e l'unico, trattato come una vera e propria “opera d’arte”. Lo studio ha ricevuto riconoscimenti come il il premio AWards in World Architecture nel 2012, l’ICONIC Awards - The Whole World of Architecture del German Design Concil, nel 2013 e nel 2018, il Red Dot Design Award nel 2012, l’Architizer Award nel 2014, e il premio WAN Award nel 2019. Inoltre, siamo stati invitati a presentare il nostro lavoro a numerosi seminari e conferenze presso università e istituzioni internazionali, tra cui la Biennale di Architettura di Venezia, la Columbia University di New York, l’Art OMI Istitute. Abbiamo anche esposto in vari musei e gallerie di arte e design, come OffiCina a Beijing in Cina, nell'ambito di 13th Mostra Internazionale di Architettura “la Biennale di Venezia”, presso il Padiglione Italia, o le gallerie Nicole Fiacco Gallery, Hudson, NY, USA, o la Galleria “Come sé, Roma, Italia e la Galleria Santo Ficara, Firenze, Italia. I progetti dello studio sono diffusi in tutto il mondo, evidenziando luoghi come Cina, Stati Uniti, Cile, Germania, Spagna e Italia, e sono stati pubblicati su riviste internazionali di architettura e interior design. Tra questi, GA Houses, Domus, Casabella, Architectural Digest, Ville&Casali, Detail, The Plan, Elle Decor, Interni, Europaconcorsi portal, Architizer, World-Architect e in case editrici come Taschen. Inoltre, il lavoro dello studio è stato raccolto in diverse monografie curate da Palombi Editori. Il saggista e professore universitario Franco Purini sul testo “Opposizioni” all’interno del Catalogo della 13th Mostra Internazionale di Architettura “la Biennale di Venezia”, scrive: “L’architettura di Arckeo + FFA Ferrara Fulfaro Architecture nasce dalla ragione ma produce emozione. Essa è arte del costruire e del comunicare almeno quanto lo è dello spazio e della luce. Fortemente stratificata in livelli diversi di senso, al di là della sua apparente chiarezza, essa dice qualcosa di importante dell’essere umano, qualcosa di misterioso che vale la pena ascoltare”. Lo studio si avvale della collaborazione nei suoi progetti dello studio di Piero Castiglioni per l’illuminotecnica, come di aziende specializzate nel campo delle costruzioni come la Capoferri leader mondiale per gli infissi e serramenti su misura. Allo stesso modo, ha collaborato con studi internazionali, come il noto architetto Portoghese Eduardo Souto de Moura o come Joao Ferreira Nunes considerato uno dei più illustri paesaggisti a livello internazionale. VALORI STUDIO L'architettura può essere piccola nel grande o grande nel piccolo, se ogni commissione è intesa come occasione per concretizzare un’opera d’arte. L'approccio progettuale nasce da un duplice impegno: la volontà di dare una risposta tecnica a un contesto specifico e il desiderio di ricercare la bellezza effettiva attraverso l'opera costruita. Questo processo persegue la soddisfazione, intesa nel suo senso più completo, di tutti coloro che partecipano attivamente allo sviluppo. Soprattutto i clienti e fruitori dell’opera stessa, ma anche i collaboratori, i costruttori e i progettisti. Nella traiettoria professionale vengono raccolti tipi di costruzione molto diversi. Ci sono lavori di un nuovo impianto, restauri, ristrutturazioni con demolizione e ricostruzione, alloggi in blocco ed edilizia pubblica. Un'altra caratteristica del processo è la continuità. La continuità con un ambiente che dobbiamo rispettare, la continuità spaziale, l'uso di pochi materiali, l'integrazione delle strutture, l'illuminazione... Questi sono fattori comuni nel lavoro svolto. E anche la ricerca della continuità nel tempo, valorizzando l'architettura capace di attraversarlo senza diventare obsoleta. L'uso dell'innovazione è enfatizzato. I Nuovi materiali e le nuove tecnologie vengo utilizzati per migliorare la vita delle persone. Un'innovazione basata sull'esperienza e sul miglioramento della tradizione. La precisione e l’ordine sono alla base del nostro sistema di lavoro. Esse richiedono un'attività concentrata e attenta durante tutto l'intero processo, che va dall'idea iniziale, passa attraverso la stesura del progetto, sino alla sua realizzazione. Il processo della costruzione viene da noi seguito sino alle fasi dell’arredamento personalizzato, al prodotto di design sino alla manutenzione dell’opera; per questo abbiamo scelto di lavorare in BIM e di sfruttare al massimo gli strumenti che la digitalizzazione del progetto ci offre. Il dialogo è sempre presente, poiché l'opera diventa parte dell'identità di chi la abita. La casa e lo spazio di lavoro sono un vero riflesso di chi ci vive o lavora, un'espressione inequivocabile della sua personalità o della sua cultura aziendale. Questo dialogo cerca conforto e utilità, esaminando i conflitti e le gioie degli atti quotidiani della vita umana, che definiscono l'architettura. La risposta data a questi concetti caratterizza i progetti rendendoli ognuno diverso, ognuno unico, trattato come una vera e propria “opera d’arte”. E infine, la squadra. L'eccellenza nel design si basa sull'integrazione di una rete di professionisti che condividono il piacere del proprio lavoro. Un team composto da specialisti nel calcolo delle strutture, degli aspetti energetici e di sostenibilità, dell'acustica, degli allestimenti, della progettazione grafica, dell'interior design, dell'architettura. Operiamo in uno spazio condiviso che evoca la storia del passato; Palazzo Lunese che ci ospita è un edificio progettato da Bernardo Rossellino nel 1452, questo luogo produce di per sé un'atmosfera di creatività condivisa capace di generare una motivazione contagiosa, attenta a ciò che è in atto ed entusiasta di ciò che sta per venire. Inoltre siamo il primo studio internazionale ad aver utilizzato il lavoro a distanza, avendo piena fiducia dei nostri collaboratori, tutti professionisti di primo livello; durante il Covid-19, Arckeo + FFA era già pronta al lavoro smart e ha potuto testare con grande soddisfazione che il suo modello non solo funziona ma è ormai diventato una consuetudine, ci sentiamo per questo orgogliosi di aver anticipato i tempi. Prof. Franco Purini Fausto Ferrara is an Italian architect, artist, designer and innovator. He studied architecture in Rome and assiduously frequented the circles of artists, Enrico Castellani, Achille Perilli, Teodosio Magnoni, Pino Barillà, Gianni Asdrubali, Carlo Bernardini, Paola D'Ercole and others. After an initial period of work on construction sites since 1980, having the fortune of having a father who was a construction craftsman, he decided to undertake a long personal experience of vision and bodily perception of architecture which would lead him to undertake long study trips to Europe, Asia and North America. Ferrara is recognized by international critics as a true architect and artist. Enrico Fulfaro is an Italian architect and interior designer. He graduated in Architecture in 1992 from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. He worked at the B&C architects studio from 1992 to 2002 as a designer of public buildings. From 1996 to 2006 he carried out research and teaching activities at the University of Rome La Sapienza for courses in Architectural Design, and in 2004 he was appointed "Subject Expert for Design III courses". Since 2006 he has been the author of architecture articles for "4amagazine" and "La Repubblica - Casa&Design" and currently for the magazine "Italia Informa". He has also participated in numerous television programs. After personal journeys, in 2010 they decided to join together and founded their design atelier in Rome and Viterbo, and subsequently in Chicago, which initially began as a true research laboratory between art and architecture. CASA 1 RESIDENZE FORMENTERA A piece of land dominates the sea downstream, a slight slope allowed the villa to be gently laid down taking advantage of the slope of the land. The villa is triangular in shape and is on three levels. On the semi-basement floor there is the SPA with indoor swimming pool, the cinema room, the cellar and the service rooms, the staff quarters and a large garage for 6 luxury cars. An elevator connects the three floors. On the ground floor, around a triangular courtyard, where a pool of water refreshes and reflects the light, there are spaces open to social life, a kitchen used by the family, a large party room facing south and dominating the wonderful view of the sea as well as the outdoor swimming pool. Inside, however, a cozy living room overlooks both to the south, onto the courtyard and to the west, onto a garden of fruit trees, here a staircase with a bridge connects to the upper floor where the study, library and another even more intimate living room are located. . A large terrace dominates the view. On the ground floor on one wing of the triangle, there is the sleeping area where the master suite dominates at the end, complete with bathroom and an exit onto a courtyard where an external staircase connects the sleeping area with the terrace upstairs. Designed as a temple nestled on the banks of the lake, a courtyard delimits the space and all the activities are reflected in a pool of water. Inside and outside are always brought into communion thanks to the large windows. A large terrace, built on the roof of the villa, houses a swimming pool that merges with the waters of the lake. ITZEL DESIGN ITALIA Objects of daily use. We often no longer reflect on their essence, we tend to use them without realizing it; the gesture of bringing food to our mouth, to taste it, to nourish ourselves, the meaning of what we do prevails. For a Buddhist monk and for Zen philosophy, the ladle, the only tool for nourishing oneself and savoring food, is such an essential object not only for its simplicity but for the meaning that nourishing the body has, which is above all an entity spiritual. The Itzel project was born from this. The beginning is to find the essence, the minimal lightness of the form, where its linearity represents the continuous research into the spirit of things. Each shape, as well as its different spoons, its different forks, indicate different ways of approaching food not only as a habit, but as the essence of what we perceive.
